Every Autumn I clean the windows and remove the screens before sealing them for winter to maximize our solar gain. Donna always says that will kill some birds. Well, today that happened; one of those pesky robins panicked and flew directly into one of our windows. Others have hit them and recovered in an hour or two but this one died within minutes.
